Seems to be a lot of activity on the WW2 front at the moment. I've managed to make significant inroads into the 10mm WW2 Germans and some progress with the WW2 Russians. These are mostly for 1941, so I can run adaptations of the Barbarossa Skirmish Campaigns games, though some late war stuff is creeping in! I'm also (at last) getting some better 10mm terrain organised - mostly buildings hedges and walls, plus some new trees. All looking good.

I've just added the old De Bellis Navalibus DBA variant rules for ancient naval games to the site, having been contacted by someone looking for those rules. Good job I didn't ditcj the old files!

The Skaven have taken a back seat while I rebase all my 15mm Italian Wars and ECW figures. We've gone back to DBR style basing for the Renaissance Warmaster variant. Seems to be working rather well!

The Warmaster Skaven are now spray undercoated black and the missed bits have been touched up with thinned matt black paint.  Groundwork has been painted with raw umber (cheap craft paint) to seal it.  Next will be to drybrush the basic fur colours - Scorched Brown, Bestial Brown then Vermin Fur.

Far too long since I updated this bit of the site!

The 10mm WW2 Americans are now finished with the exception of some Minifigs infantry which aren't really needed - I intended to paint those in the late war dark green uniform. They may get done one day!

Just started on my Warmaster Skaven. Going for the mass look on these, so they are being based and undercoated before painting. Only the bits I can reach will get painted. Should mean that I can turn this army out quite quickly. That's the plan anyway. Inevitably, once I really looked at the army I realised I'll probably need to add more units.....

So.... they're all cleaned up and based and the sand has been glued to the bases. Spray undercoating later today.

Up to around 2000 points of 10mm WW2 Americans now. Painting progressing very well. Yet more ordered....

Just realised how long it is since I updated this section....

10mm WW2 is now flavour of the month. Nearly finished 1000 points of Americans for Blitzkrieg Commander. Quite a lot more of them to paint. Also ongoing - WW2 Russians and Germans for 1941.

Just acquired a pile of Necromunda terrain (buildings and bulkheads for a fiver on Ebay. Quite a bargain. We should get a lot of use out of it all in our 5150 games. I can see I'll have to watch out for similar bargains in future. Now there is a decision - glue it all together for durability or risk the pieces wearing out constantly assembling and disassembling them. Tricky one!

The Ainsty resin van I bought at Derby is now assembled and undercoated. Just trying to decide on the colour scheme now, and whether it will say "Police" or "Polizei" on the side. Or maybe even "Poliss".

Just finished 10 28mm Copplestone Future Wars police. They saw their first action today.

Got waylaid by Warmaster Dwarves. A fieldable army is nearly finished.....

And then there's that mountain of Empire stuff for Warmaster too!

"Tarting up" 3,500 points of 10mm Khemri Undead for Warmaster and rebasing them. Many were painted by others and only need a small amount of work to give them my usual style.

Continuing to add to the mountain of 15mm Italian Wars figures based on 60x30mm bases for our Renaissance Warmaster variant.
